- Your SD card should be formatted and cleared of all videos and files. This is done by formatting the SD card. It is always recommended to format your SD card in the Nanocamplus Cam via the menu.
- Download the firmware file from this page. Do not change the bin file name in the folder otherwise your Nanocamplus Cam will not recognize it.
- With your SD card inserted in your computer and drag only the .bin file into the SD card root folder. Once the .bin file is on the SD card, safely eject your SD card from the computer and insert it into the Dash Cam. Ensure the Dash Cam is off prior to inserting the SD card.
- Power up the Dash Cam. Firmware updates will automatically install once the camera is powered up. You will know because there will show “Read File” for about up to 30 seconds. The camera should re-boot once the firmware has been installed.
- Once the firmware is installed, format the SD card in the Nanocamplus Cam to remove the .bin file. If this step is not performed, every time your Dash Cam is powered up, it will want to re-install the firmware and keep rebooting.

The purpose of Loop Recording is that only the most imperative footage is saved for future reference rather than recording non-stop where all the footage recorded may not necessarily be relevant. Video recording is highly memory intensive so Loop Recording is typically used as a method for making the most use of the limited memory space in an In-Car DVR.
When a collision occurs, the Gravity Sensor (G Sensor) can sense sudden movements and according to the G Sensor sensitivity setting, the DVR can automatically determine whether to set the currently recording video to protection mode which will ensure that the video footage from a “sensed” incident is protected from being overwritten by future Loop Recording.
